Christmas came early for vulnerable kids facing poverty in the Dominican Republic!
In December, a special container was shipped to the Dominican Republic. Inside were two playgrounds that would otherwise have been sent to a landfill. Instead of taking up space in a dump, these playgrounds will be installed in our Hope Zone and become a positive gathering space for the community.
Children who have never been able to enjoy a playground will be able to bring their friends and family and make memories they will remember for a lifetime!
The generosity of people like you also helped to send 120,000 meals to feed hungry children in the Dominican Republic.
These meals are special as they contain essential nutrient-rich ingredients that can be easily prepared. Because the children who live in the community of our Hope Zone often go hungry, these meals will make an incredible difference!
The shipping container was also stocked with over 50 bicycles that local parents will be able to use to get to work. It will allow for more financial security and long term stability for their children—which means that families will thrive and children will grow healthy and strong.
Not only were we able to send a container to the Dominican Republic with your support, but we also sent additional playgrounds, medical supplies, and meals to our partners in Belize.
The kids and families we serve in Belize are facing severe poverty and have been in desperate need of meals and medical supplies.
The compassion of people like you sends help to people in our world who need it most. Thank you!
